Fashion Week Wrap-Up

According to the intrepid Chris Wilson of the NYPost: "JAWS dropped when Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale were seated in the front row of Naomi Campbell's Fashion Relief benefit just minutes before the star-studded show began last night.

"Stefani, who even posed with Campbell, was said to be seething at Naomi for upstaging the singer's first L.A.M.B. show which was supposed to close Fashion Week by pulling together the star-studded Fashion Relief benefit for Hurricane Katrina victims at the last minute and snagging the coveted final time slot.

" ...Earlier in the day, while backstage at Ralph Lauren's show, (Campbell) threw a fit when only bottled water was available and ordered an underling to pour it in a glass for her."

That would be only Naomi's second meltdown all week. Not bad. She must be getting therapy.

From USA Today: "'Love is a four letter word' was the theme for Heatherette's flashy, Broadway-esque production, one of the last shows of Fashion Week. The models had the freedom to do things you won't see in other shows. We'll leave it to your R-rated imagination, but let's just say the designers made it clear that sex was an underlying theme ... The largest applause: The crowd at Heatherette went wild when Naomi Campbell emerged in a bikini with a bow across the bust. The width of the bow was least twice as wide her body.

"... Celebs on the catwalk: Toward the end of Heatherette, Nicky Hilton appeared, ready to walk the catwalk. She took a few steps, lost her shoe, panicked, gave the crowd the one-second signal, put her shoe back on and continued walking. Boyfriend Kevin Connolly, who was sitting front row, got a kick out of the scene. Hilton's pal Bijou Phillips strutted her stuff, and Kelly Osbourne accompanied designers Richie Rich and Travis Rains on their celebratory trip down the runway."

From Look Online's Marilyn Kirschner: "When the (Vera Wang) show ended, the soundtrack turned to Sonny and Chers famous hit, 'I Got You Babe' (I guess the song must have sentimental value to the designer and her husband. Or perhaps Vera has always identified with Cher because of her long straight black hair). In any event, just as Vera took the stage to take her bow, Cher sang, 'they say that love wont pay the rent before its earned the moneys all been spent.' I had to chuckle; the very last thing Vera has to worry about is paying the rent."

That's all, folks.

Seriously, who cares about Gwen? I am so over her tired wanna be Jamaican thing. Nothing she does is original, and I would LOVE to see some real Jamaican rude girls beat her down for biting their shhh! Suburban psuedo reggae is so passe.

"Suburban pseudo reggae" (i like that) aka "SKA" has been beaten like a dead horse by her. She's the Tarantino of the music world.

She's now into the Japanese slacker youth scene... first Jamaican and now Japanese... the privileges of growing up white and upper-middle class.
