Fashion Week Roundup

From the NYPost's Chris Wilson, who, we maintain, is the Pope of Fashionweek reporting: "NAOMI CAMPBELL refused to walk in jeweler Chris Aire's show when she realized rival model May Andersen would be wearing the centerpiece a $41 million diamond dress.
"Organizers decided to dress Andersen in the glittering frock after Campbell skipped all her fittings. But that didn't stop Naomi from demanding to wear the dress when she showed up 20 minutes before showtime at the New York Public Library on Tuesday night."
From Style.com: "Following his lively spring show, Marc Jacobs entertained roughly 1,000 of his favorite people at a new Cipriani locale on Fifth Avenue. Co-hosted by the soon-to-be-incarcerated Lil' Kim and the strictly legal Robert Duffy, the event drew many of the boldface names who had attended the show, including Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst, and Kelly Osbourne. All three remained sequestered on the venue's second floor, which, despite there being no official VIP area, was roped off in an ad hoc gesture of exclusivity. What was it that Lindsay Lohan said to Jared Leto that caused him to reply, 'I'm trying to keep you out of Page Six'?"
From USA Today: "Anna Sui delivered her signature hippie chick look but added a splash of disco. She paired empire-waisted peasant dresses with leggings for day and sequined tunics and gowns for evening. Naomi Campbell opened and closed the show, while Velvet Revolver's Scott Weiland watched from the front row ... Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto introduced his latest Y-3 spring/summer 2006 sportswear collection for Adidas last night at Cipriani downtown. But the champagne-laden show was more about famous faces than designer duds. On one side of the catwalk sat a relaxed Jeremy Piven."
And, from Our favorite crimefighting gossip superhero duo, Rush and Molloy: "Lauren Bush and four girlfriends got turned away at Cain Tuesday night because the bouncers didn't recognize the Elite model, whose uncle is the President. Regina King, Jamie-Lynn DiScala and Lance Bass did make it into the Bunny Chow party "
From Marilyn Kirschner of Look Online: "... one designer who is decidedly addressing the needs of the Urban Nomad season after season is Yeohlee, and she showed one of her best, most upbeat, youthful and dare I say the S word? (Yes, the sexiest collection I can remember). Drawing inspiration from 'an infatuation with the work of Robert Mallet-Stevens and the awe-inspiring engineering of suspension bridges', Yeohlee worked in her signature stripped down minimalist color palette of earth tones, forest greens, and black (natch!), and shades of white ... Yeohlee enlisted the formidable runway talents of none other than Fern Mallis to model one outfit (for which she received a round of applause not to mention a few cat whistles to which she embarrassedly tried to ignore)."
From Samantha Critchell of the AP: "Michael Kors stirred things up at New York Fashion Week, adding some adobe spice to his Southwest-themed spring collection, which included gauchos, camouflage and an 'OKeeffe jacket.'
From Papermag's Kim Hastreiter: "After rushing from Yeohlee show back to PAPER to pick up my dog, take him home, we dashed over to Cynthia Rowleys show where we greeted her adorable baby GIGI , daughter Kit, and her sooontobe hubby Bill as well as Tatum O'Neal who looked beautiful. After Rowleys fun show (sponsored by Tupperware!) we ran to 23rd Street arriving just in time to meet and greet Mike Mills and his new honey Miranda July (below) for the premiere of his new film, Thumbsucker which PAPER was sponsoring. The audience was fun and included Tilda Swinton ... Kelly Garner, and Lou Pucci who were all exhausted from Toronto film festival."
"Kors also scored the biggest stars so far on the front row at his show Wednesday: Michael Douglas and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, who wore a vintage beaded top and carried a black Kors handbag."
