Why Does BBC America Use Subtitles?

File the following under obnoxious. I've noticed that BBC America, on certain shows, runs a really odd trailer for subtitles. Some people like it; The Corsair don't. If we are tough enough to decipher s Guy Ritchie flick -- and, really, who else would want to? -- we can probably hack Primeval (And the gorgeous and mysterious Claudia Brown).

Granted, in some of the shows -- "Skins," for example -- the slang can be thick. But it is English, right? We'll manage.
