UPDATE: Separated at Birth -- Tina Fey and Governor Sarah Palin?

We like those rare redemption stories that come from Lalaland. The Corsair is kind of embarrassed to admit it, but we have read Tori Spelling's biography -- as well as Karen Armstrong's "Holy War" on the First Crusade -- and, well, we loved that shit up. So cute. And -- how does one put this nicely? -- so fertile (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment; Keep her away from "The K-Fed," yo); and she's a hit. Who would have thought that of the 90210 set, it would be Tori, the really not that spoiled rich kid, that "made it." From Now Magazine:
"'Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood continues to sizzle for women’s-targeted Oxygen as its July 1 episode broke several network ratings records.
"The third episode of the series, chronicling the lives of Hollywood couple Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, generated a 0.8 household rating, while setting network viewership records among adults 18 to 49 (514,000) and female viewers (405,000).
"Overall. Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood’s third installment pulled 643,000 viewers, falling short of its June 17 premiere’s count of 667,000. The June 30 episode, however, was up 14% among women 18 to 49 and adults, and 10% among women 18 to 34."
And the fact that she's made it on her own in the wild world of cable with less than $1 million out of her father's $300 million estate (The two were estranged by the time Aaron Spelling died) make us love her all the more. You. Go. Donna.
