Orthodox Christians celebrated the most holy day of their calendar this Sunday. George Stephanopoulos, Chief Washington Correspondent for ABC News, noted the event when ending his This Week with George Stephanopoulos" broadcast by ending with, "to my fellow Orthodox Christians, Happy Easter." According to his bio, Stephanopoulos, whose father was a Greek Orthodox priest, "had long considered entering the priesthood himself."

George's father, Father Robert George Stephanopoulos, retired as Dean Emeritus Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in NY. George's mother, Nikki Stephanopoulos retired last August as Director of the Office of News and Information/Public Relations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
