Yesterday this blog featured Paul Allen's yacht "Octopus," and today we feature Roberto Cavalli's 133 ft Baglieto-built yacht. Sharon Stone was seen tomcatting on it, canoodling with a silver-haired man. From Thisislondon:
"Sharon Stone sails on the French Riviera, and managed to create some Hollywood style drama all in a single afternoon while on board fashion designer Roberto Cavalli's yacht in Cannes.
"The racy actress, clearly hasn't forgotten how to cause a stir, as despite her advancing years she pitched up braless, in a sheer white and grey slip of a dress, which concealed very little of her modesty."
But that doesn't make her a bad person. Also: hemp-advocate Woody Harrelson was found tomcatting -- but he is married. From Page Six:
"WOODY Harrelson entranced by a woman who was not his wife on Paul Allen's giant yacht in Cannes."
In Woody's defense, he has been quite open -- perhaps too open -- about his personal views on marriage. He told Interview's Lynda Obst in 1996:
"Monogamy is, to me, one of the most confusing things about getting married. People, from my mother to whoever, are always asking me when I'm going to get married, especially now that I've got two kids. At least in the traditional understanding of what marriage is, I can't figure it. Are we both going to sign a legal document saying that we' re bound to each other, and that we can never be with anyone else physically because that's the great betrayal? The understanding I always felt that I should have in any relationship was, 'I love you and I want to spend time with you. Past that, you're free.' Because as soon as I start feeling unfree, then I start feeling uncomfortable."
Could you just tell that he likes to smoke weed? From ElleUK, yesterday: "So, naturally yesterday afternoon, it was off to Port Canto to join Gwyneth Paltrow and Dennis Hopper on board Altair, the floating palace belonging to Tod’s owner Diego Della Valle, the man dubbed the Italian Ralph Lauren. Yacht etiquette requires everyone to remove their shoes before boarding, so it must have been a wrench for Gwyneth to slip off the gorgeous gold Roger Vivier heels she was wearing with her stunning pink strapless Lanvin gown (and a next-season Tod’s clutch, of course). Guests tucked into fruity Bellini’s and a huge lump of Parmesan, while Diego surprised birthday boy Dennis Hopper with a chocolate cake to celebrate his 72nd birthday. Once we’d got over our sea legs, it was straight to the Carlton Hotel for the Chopard party, held in a vast room decorated like a futuristic secret garden, complete with Perspex gnomes. Christina Ricci took to the stage to introduce Ocean’s Eleven star Andy Garcia, who displayed hitherto unknown bongo skills with his Cuban music troupe the Cineson All-Stars." More here.
Also from ElleUK, today:
"Another day, another yacht party. Having enjoyed the hospitality of Tod’s president Diego Della Valle earlier this week, last night it was off to Quai Albert Edouard for drinks aboard Prometej, the luxurious yacht belonging to another of Italy’s most successful designers, Alberta Ferretti. She was throwing a cocktail party to celebrate the launch of new Che Guevara biopic, Che, which is produced by her good friend Laura Bickford. The film, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Benicio del Toro, premieres at Cannes today but, with a running time of over four hours, you’ll need to have some time to kill if you want to catch it ... other guests included Chinese star Zhang Ziyi and Sadie Frost’s little sister, actress Holly Davidson ... who turned heads in a sequinned mini dress,
