Mo Rocca To Host The Congressional Radio-TV Correspondents' Dinner

Our colleagues at FishbowlDC report that CBS Sunday morning commenter Mo Rocca -- he also was a talking head on VH1's "I Love The 80s" -- will host this year's Congressional Radio-TV Correspondents' Dinner on April 16. This is a big thing for Rocca, who, it seems, is being groomed as a possible replacement for the cantancerous Andy Rooney (Or is it just The Corsair's imagination). Vice President Dick Cheney will, amazingly, be a "special guest."

This should be an interesting pairing as Rocca, as we hear it, is gay. And Vice President Cheney has daughter, whom he lkoves, that is gay, though he doesn't support gay marriage.

The Corsair is pretty sure that all the amusing and comedically awkward material that could come from those contradictions will probably not be explored. But it would have been interesting ...
