Georgia Rule Sucks

This was not Lindsay Lohan's week. Even more than Giuliani, LiLo ate dirt this week. First, the "Booger Sugar" on the heels of her rehab stint. Then, Martha Stewart tries to shake some sense into her jiggly self, publicly. Now, Georgia Rule, her latest attempt to become a serious actress, like her nemesis ScarJo, gets this review from Variety:

"No offense to either of them, but 'Georgia Rule' suggests an Ingmar Bergman script as directed by Jerry Lewis."

That's gotta hurt. But should we be blaming it all on LiLo? We cannot fail to note that Jane Fonda has been a rather jinxy Hollywood property lately (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment). The acclaimed Oscar-winner seemed, quixotically, to throw away a wonderful career in order to have marathon sex sessions with former Time Warner chief Ted Turner in his office. Then there was that weird book in which she actually admitted to catching Turner cheating, and then bashing him about the head. Actually ... that one was kind of cool.

But Georgia Rule sucks. (RottenTomatoes)
