Social networking sites are now breaking news. Last week Twitter broke the Bill Gates releasing mosquitoes at TED story, now Facebook breaks the fact that Jade Jagger got hitched. From Thisislondon:
"Mick Jagger's daughter has finally taken the plunge and married long-term boyfriend Dan Williams, it appears. Jade Jagger has been dating the DJ for five years, thankfully showing a little more restraint than her father and taking her time.
"The 37-year-old jewellery designing socialite let her pals know about her nuptials on Facebook, changing her marital status to 'Married to Dan Williams.'
"While her publicist admitted that she knew nothing about the wedding, a source said: 'The couple have been very happy together for years. They didn't want to rush things and did it when the time was right for them. It just took a few people by surprise when it appeared on Facebook.'
"Last year, speculation-that they were engaged hit fever pitch after Dan said that he was designing a ring for Jade. The couple met in Ibiza in 2001 where they were living at the time, and got together after being friends for two years.
"Although Jade has described Dan as the love of her life, their relationship hit a rocky patch after it was rumoured that she was dating US rapper Pharrell Williams in 2005."
The Pharrell Williams fling didn't work out because of an, uhr -- how does one put this nicely? -- sexual incompatability. In the words of the NERD musician, "I'm a horndog, but Jade was hot to rock. And, man, could she rock. She wore me right out."
