Peterson: Buffett And Me Are Going To Give Nunn Millions To Prevent Nuclear Proliferation

A new age of corporate responsibility? Pete Peterson, the Blackstone Group, was on The Charlie Rose Show last night for a talk about the economy. In the middle of the discussion, though, Pete unveiled a plan to given former Senator Sam Nunn -- presently Chief Executive Officer of the Nuclear Threat Initiative -- some cash to help prevent nuclear proliferation around the world. And his co-sponsor? Warren Buffett. ''One of the things warren and I are going to do,'' Peterson told Rose, ''is give Sam some millions of dollars.''
