Ana Marie Cox To Air America

This smells like an exclusive via Twitter. Craig Sender, a vice president at Trylon SMR, Tweets today: "Congratulations @anamariecox on joining Air America (client of Trylon)." Cox, formerly Washington correspondednt for Radar, reTweeted, "Ah, I see that I can now reveal that this is my last week of semi-employment. Trying to enjoy it." Cox, the founding editor at Wonkette, is a semi-regular on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show (which is rebroadcast on Air-America). Cox, who was Washington editor of Time.com, most recently covered the McCain campaign for Radar before that magazine folded. Cox, who has chronicled her so called "semi-unemployment" via Tweets, ultimately finished her campaign coverage with donations from her loyal readers.

We extend our congratulations as well with a hoised bourbon.

UPDATE: Ana Marie Cox is going to be Air America's first D.C.-based national correspondent. "Yes, there will be podcasts," Tweets Ana Marie. "Oh, there will be podcasts... And blood. No not blood: mocking. Lots of mocking." Cox makes her debut on Air America on Monday, January 19 to report from the Washington for Air America's Inauguration coverage. Aside from contributing as a correspondent for the inauguration and provideing content for their website she will appear on a weekly program.
