Patrick McMullen's St. Patrick's Day Party

(sweet cheeba party via sweetchibabrand)

We went to photographer Patrick McMullen's annual St. Patrick's Day party last night after attending the Sweet Cheeba event -- superheroes reconfigured to urban reality -- last night. Sweet Cheeba was crowded, but cool. And they had a wall with generic ads and sharpie markers, inviting attendants to commit random acts of sanctioned graffiti.

From there it was over to Greenhouse to McMullen's event. Patrick McMullen is a beloved figure on the scene. He added to his belovedness by asking the bouncers to stop checking every ID, thereby slowing the pace of the door entrance to a glacial crawl (And who at these things is under 21?). Also in the crowd were Paper's Mr. Mickey, Michael Musto, brocialite Liam McMullen ("His name is really Patrick Liam," said the photographer, "but we call him Liam to avoid confusion"), Patrick MacDonald, Carmen D'Alessio and this dude in a profoundly politically incorrect WW2 uniform (WTF?)

The DJ sucked but the drinks and the crowd were wonderful.
