Little Marvin Event; The Dactyl Foundation's Jeremy Kost Party

Last night we went to Anonymous Gallery on 329 Broome Street for their Little Marvin exhibition which is embarking on its worldwide tour of W.O.W. (War On War). Guests were encouraged to cut hearts out of 1000’s of yards of shimmering disco-gold fabric (see jacket above) and post them on the gallery's walls. Thanks to co-sponsors Surface magazine, Poms pomegranate juice and Belvedere vodka, gallery attendees were well-lubricated for the proceedings.

.. Afterwards The Corsair perambulated, woozily, through the March chill and remnants of snow to go to the Jeremy Kost event at The Dactyl Foundation, a chic little space with a tight door policy. REM's Michael Stipe, Aly Hilfiger and Ritchie Rich were in attendance. It was interesting. There were photographs of men in various stages of undress with kids toys. And there was a video. And booze.

"What are you supposed to do if you forget your glasses?" said a chic mom-type -- late 50s, early 60s -- as we stared at the series of pictures in disbelief. "Then you move in close," The Corsair replied, still in shock. "Or you move back further she said," without missing a beat, having found her glasses and now recoiling at the images.

"This is little boy porn," she said, sounding not-so-motherly but not without some scorn. "This is what little boys do when they think you're not looking, then they lock the door." And with that, the chic Soho mom was out, glasses tucked into her purse. We almost chocked on our cocktail trying to process what just happened. Another Soho night.
