San Francisco's mayor Gavin Newsom -- the Sir Edmund Hillary of social climbers -- is all over the media, pimping himself. On Bill Maher, in the buzzy Twitter HQ, and last night on "60 Minutes (How did he weasel his way into that?)."
It's like Newsom has super powers that enable him to scale the protective wall of media organizations en route to promoting his favorite cause: himself. And that is handy for someone who rightly belongs in the dictionary under the words: Media whore.
Where will Newsom turn up next? Jimmy Fallon?
