Howard Stern Versus Jay Leno Goes To A Bad, Bad Place

Point: Stern. (image via patdollard)

Hot damn, this is getting uglier than 2005's Media Blog World War I. It didn't take long for Howard Stern to strike back at Leno, as we predicted. Stern used his show to air his feelings about the NYTimes piece by Bill Carter. From Marksfriggin:

"Howard said that Jay Leno mentioned him in an article where he spoke out about a few things. Howard said Jay said that Howard Stern isn't a populist anymore and his move to satellite was a bad idea. Howard went off on Jay about that for a short time.

Howard said that his move to satellite was the only thing that made sense. He was being hounded by the FCC and he had to get out of that environment. Howard said that Jay is taking whatever he can and he thinks that he's a man of the people because he's on regular TV. Meanwhile he's interviewing people and not asking them anything compelling.

Howard said that Jay's show steals stuff from his show all the time, including Stuttering John. Howard said that Jay should stick to his own issues and not worry about what he's up to. Howard told Jay that a populist doesn't fire his manager, who stood by his side, when she has cancer. Howard said he doesn't forget about any of that stuff. Howard said that her name was Helen Kushnick and he won't forget that.

"Howard said that Jay is rewriting history. Artie asked if Jay thinks he's a man of the people when he's working on his $400,000 cars. Howard said that Jay claims he only uses his stand-up comedy money for those cars. He doesn't spend the money he makes on TV on that stuff.

"..Robin said that Jay had Heather Locklear on his show recently and all he asked her was ''So how was 2008 for you?'' and didn't ask her about her fucked up life."

Oh no, tell me Howard Stern didn't go Helen Kushnick (The Corsair sips a Grappa). Nuh-uh, tell me Howard Allen Stern did not -- did not -- go there.

But he did. A lot more here.
