Newspapers are the New Black (And White)

As our favorite afficionado of stuffed purple moose, "Pinch" Sulzberger continues to run the Old Gray Lady into the ground, newspapers are increasingly being seen as the ultimate billionaire's chew toy. Take, for example, the Burkle-Geffen epic over the fate of the LA Times.

And, to be sure, we cannot forget Jack Welch -- he of the sordid Suzy Wetlaufer kerfluffle -- interest in the Boston Globe.

A step up from the Harvard Business Review, to be sure.
