In: Sun Valley. True, the once-glorious patina of the mogulfest has lost lustre. It is, to borrow from the discredited Ayn Rand, "turning brown, like an old painting in oil, the color of a fading masterpiece." Still, it is one of the few places -- outside of Davos -- where Bill Gates and Google CEO Eric Schmidt can have awkward encounters. It is one of the few places in the world where Twitter, for all its merits, is rationally appraised. Sun Valley is one of the few places where the King and Queen of Jordan can chill ... in Idaho. It is one of the only places where Google's Larry Page and Twitter CEO Evan Williams can be spotted "deep in discussion."
