In: Ambassador Caroline Kennedy. There -- I said it. We are not at war with the Holy Roman Empire, or what's left of it. The Ambassadorship to the Holy See is not unlike the Ambassadorship to Luxembourg. A pleasurable gimme doled out to someone who was helpful during the Presidential campaign. Kennedy would be just fine in that position and could gain some of the valuable political experience of an international variety (she's worked with public schools) that might serve her well in a future US Senate run. Frankly, we've always believed the soft-power of the Kennedy name would be best served in the diplomatic corps. As someone who seriously opposed Caroline Kennedy for Hillary's Senate seat I'd like to say that at this point in time her opponents are just being contrarian for the sake of being contrary.
UPDATE: SpecialK on Gawker brought up a good point in that this conservative Pope will probably not accept her credfentials. That having been said, how about appointing Caroline as Ambassador to the Court of St. James (London)? I suspect, however, that even eliminating the Pope from the mix, her right-wing opponents will find a position to argue aginst that as well.

Out: Lilo. Hollywood is a tough town; they turn on you on the way down. Maybe Lindsay Lohan is right and not being paranoid that "everyone" has turned against her. From OMG:
"'Rock legend Stevie Nicks is sounding off on reports that Lindsay Lohan wants to buy the rights to the Fleetwood Mac singer's life story and play her on the big screen.
"'Over my dead body,' Nicks told The New York Times Thursday when asked about reports that the young actress was eager to play her."
Aww, leave the kid alone ..Stop piling up on The Linds.
