Artie Lange Donates $1500 To The Human Rights Campaign's California Marriage PAC

This morning comedian Artie Lange told the audience of The Howard Stern Show that he donated $1500 to the Human Rights Campaign's Wedding Registry to support gay marriage in honor of Star Trek's George Takei's upcoming wedding to Brad Altman. In a 4-3 decision in May The California Supreme Court struck down the state's ban on same sex marriage. From Marksfriggin:

"Howard said that he got an invitation in the mail to George Takei's wedding. Artie said he saw it and you can tell they're two gay guys just from the invitation. Howard said that he doesn't think that he's going to make it to California that day. It's being held on a Sunday and they all have to work the next day. Artie said that the schedule doesn't work out for them. Robin said she'd go if she didn't have to work the next day.

"Artie said that he already sent his 'no' to them and he's already sent in a check to their charity. He said that he sent in like $1,500. Howard said the sad thing is that they may never know how much he sent because they usually just get a card saying that a donation was made. Artie said that now people will know what he sent because people read MarksFriggin."
