Corsair Interview: Evan Seinfeld

Evan Seinfeld is a man's man. Adult film actor, bassist for the heavy metal band Biohazard and portrayer of Jaz Hoyt (Prisoner #98H432) in Tom Fontana's gritty HBO prison drama Oz, Seinfeld lives a transgressive, intense life. He's an interesting guy and I thought he might be an interesting interview for a site that goes by the name "Corsair." Evan's recent break-up with his wife, adult film star Tera Patrick, was chronicled in Page Six recently. He is a pretty cool and, better still, he answered all our questions:

The Corsair: Did you ever think when you were growing up that you'd be a a professional multimedia management agency?

Evan Seinfeld: "I have always been fearless in my endeavors.. maybe even foolishly at times, but I didn't know how to do things small... music, acting, adult, production, management, marketing, I even own a hot rod shop, xxx kustoms. When I was growing up, I thought I would just be a full time rock star. but hey, we never saw free music downloads coming.. now its porn, eeesh!"

The Corsair: In the press release you say that you are there to help others achieve their goals in the industry, as well as mainstream. Sasha Gray starred in a Soderberg movie, and your ex wife and many other marquee names in the industry have had lucrative book deals. Why do you think porn at this moment in time has become so mainstream?

Evan Seinfeld: "Porn IS mainstream, people just don't talk about it.. it is just like masturbation, everyone does, very few talk about it. I think that the media business in general is hurting so bad, that many outlets that would normally act like they were ABOVE porn are losing their asses, and as survival mode kicks in , many cant afford to about appearances... sex sells, and everyone needs to pay the bills, .... online sex videos made Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian... period. funny though. their porn is 'OK' because they pretend it was accidental.. ooops! I'm famous now! lol."

The Corsair: In Tera Patrick's autobiography she recounts a funny story about (hip hop star) Everlast. Apparently after you sternly told him to stop calling that it was over between them, he called you guys 'corny.' Did he really use that word? That's sad.

Evan Seinfeld: "He did use corny, but in a modern hip hop kinda way. I have alot of love for Everlast. As guys we were kinda fighting over a girl and egos.. I'm sure we will be either touring or recording together again, but, yes he called me corny..( did you know that in europe, kellogs sugar pops cereal is called "Corny" ?--- and it is great!"

The Corsair: Page Six recently had a report that you were "disappointed in the way (Tera's) handling things." As a newly-minted executive, how would you have handled it?

Evan Seinfeld: "Tera chose to go after press for the book and the book deal that I put together for her, as I did all her business for the last 7 years, ALL... by smearing me. I don't care if people lie or tell the truth, but if someone is going to say something about me in the press, at least tell the truth. There are enough things you can say about me to make me look bad without lying, and in this case telling half the truth is the same as a lie. Hypothetically, if you slap me in the head with a frying pan and i beat the fuck out of you, then you go to the press and say, Evan Seinfeld beat the ever loving crap out of me, but incidentally omit the part that you hit me first, you would mislead many people into thinking i was the agressor, when in actuality I was defending myself. When Tera and the publicists from Gotham publishing told page six that I chose porn over my marriage it was an unfair statement. She would have been classier to just not say anything, what I say in interviews is how I really feel. Tera and I had an amazing relationship and we both grew alot and lived alot together. She is an amazing woman and i wish her well in all her future endeavors. I try and take the high road, but if you kick me I kick you back twice as hard!"

The Corsair: How did you come up with the name 'Sinnergy Entertainment'?

Evan Seinfeld: As an uber- creative person stricken with ADD , I basically shit killer ideas like this all day long... however I need a team of really organized detailers to follow up on everything, because sometimes I cant shut the idea engine off.. making it impossible for me to focus.. kinda like a blessing and a curse."
