This blogger finds himself utterly fascinated bu the summer social manuevers of Peter Brant. Actually, every his social maneuver -- from the reconnoitering of his marriage to Mama Brant and her heirs -- hold us in sheer interest. From the Page Sixxies:
"Nacho Figueras and Peter Brant are ushering in a more exclusive era for Bridgehampton Polo. Last year, the first time paper magnate Brant had full run over the event after buying out former partner Neil Hirsch’s share, organizers slashed the VIP guest list from 2,000 to 500. This season, with Figueras now a partner with Brant, the guest list has been slashed even further to 350 guests per week (kids, however, will be welcome at the event, after being banned from the VIP tent last year). An insider says, 'East Enders are wondering who will make the cut.' Expected at the July 21 opening day are Christie Brinkley, Beth and Howard Stern, Russell Simmons, Samantha Yanks, Lisa Simonsen, and Donna Karan, who will host a party on Aug. 11."Polo, is seems, has replaced Art in the ice cold heart of Peter Brant. At least in the summer.
