When the Diva mogulesses divvy up The Dark Continent with their sterling salad forks and dessert knives, rest assured that each and everyone is on the same page. Not unlike the 19th Century European land grab, each "Power" has their own Equatorial precinct. Oprah's sanctum sanctorum is, apparently, South Africa, where, we've been told endlessly (and wholly without irony), She personally supervised the uniforms (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment). Madonna's rep confirms Oprah's firepower superiority in the southern sphere in our favorite superhero gossip duo, RushandMolloy's Side Dish:
"Madonna is 'devastated' that Nelson Mandela 'refused' to meet with her during her trip to Africa, an insider tells us. Madge's rep says: 'She never planned to meet him. She'd be honored, I'm sure. But she's focusing on Malawi. South Africa is Oprah's territory.'"

That's disgusting if rich westerners are dividing up parts of Africa, like the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885; as there only little fiefdoms and social petri dishes for their social experiments.
