So, It's Goint To Be A Race



Question: What happened with the polls? Was this The Bradley Effect? Did the Edwards attack at the debate backfire, turning the Lifetime television demo sympathetic to the vicissitudes of being the only woman candidate? Did Hillary's emotional moment pull over older women at the last minute? Did independents veer to McCain and not Obama?

Probably all of these factors played in to Senator Clinton's surprising victory.

But the true genius -- because we know the caustic Mark Penn's polling had an inkling of the comeback -- is the lowering of expectations. Up until right before the primary election the Clinton's were spinning that they expected Obama to win by probably double digits and that New Hampshire was not the end.

So -- we've got a race ..
