Lawrence O'Donnell: John Edwards Is A Loser



Lawrence O'Donnell, the former senior advisor to the late, great Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York is an unreconstructed liberal with strong opinions. He also has an Emmy from his producing duties on NBC's hyper-idealistic The West Wing. Lawrence O'Donnell --or, as Penn Gillette likes to call him "L.O.D." -- is not a fan of Mormons (see above), although he has appeared on HBO's Big Love. And he's got some opinions on the quixotic Edwards campaign, whose populism is sapping Obama's glory. From HuffingtonPost:

"'If John Edwards stays in the race, he might, in the end, become nothing other than the Southern white man who stood in the way of the black man. And for that, he would deserve a lifetime of liberal condemnation.'"
