A Broad Abroad: Skiing in Afghanistan

The always awesome Paula Froelich, in the latest installation of A Broad Abraod, finds herself this time skiing in ... Afghanistan. "'Afghanistan,' 'leisure sports,' and 'fun, relaxing time' are not things ever associated with one another in many peoples’ minds., writes Paula, Yahoo Travel Editor in Chief  at the Afgan Ski Challenge. I don't know what is more terrifying about this proposition -- the lack of oxygen at that altitude? The possibility (probably remote) of a torturous death at the hands of the Taliban? -- but our Paula is not to be deterred.
