Madonna Calls Guy Ritchie "Emotionally Retarded"

Who, offhand, would you say was emotionally retarded: a relatively silent partner in the midst of a bad divorce, or his former mate, who tells thousands onstage, that the other is "emotionally retarded." Hmm? Granted, who can know the particular mysteries of a relationship fully, other than the two participants involved?

Still, Madonna -- always advancing from a tedious position of strength -- comes of as the adolescent "tough guy," attacking the father of her children in public. People who refuse to be portrayed as other than "tough," and, more pathetically, "in control" -- Sam Jackson, Barbara Streisand and Rose McGowan come to mind -- strike The Corsair as "emotionally retarded." From The Daily Mail (via Drudgie-Poo)

"With a £75million divorce looming, Madonna couldn't resist launching a thinly veiled attack on her soon to be ex husband Guy Ritchie as she took to the stage in Boston last night.

Before she sang 'Miles Away', which Madonna previously claimed was inspired by Ritchie, she told the audience: 'This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. God knows I do.'
The lyrics hint at a couple growing apart: 'When I'm gone you'll realise/That I'm the best thing that happened to you.'

"She also opened the show, which took place just hours after her spokesperson confirmed the split, with her track I'm Not Sorry, telling the 20,000-strong crowd: 'That's right, I'm not sorry.'"

Oh, please Madonna, desist ... desist!
